Our design process involves a conversation with you; try to understand the context of the project. Then, we exchange project documents if you have them or we visit the location together. After that, we develop conceptual ideas and share with you "what we heard". Once we align together we share another vision session, this time going into further concept detail on the approach for the project. This is scalable depending on how many and how much visuals are required. From there, we can move into a schematic desig phase, design development, and finally design build construction with the contractor. A few other steps may be required as well as documents for city jurisdiction but those can be outlined in more specific scope of services.
Certainly, I have a portfolio of previous work that showcases my experience in designing similar projects. I can walk you through those projects to give you a sense of my design style and approach.
We will research and provide information on applicable local zoning and building code requirements as required for the project and ensure the design complies with all relevant regulations.
I believe in balancing aesthetics and functionality to create a design that meets both the client's vision and functional requirements. I will work closely with you to understand design preferences and functional needs and ensure both are met in the final design.
We lean into the Contractor's fees and bid, and will work alongside their schedule to back into your desired timeline. This is industry standard when working with a contractor.
We welcome client involvement throughout the design process and will provide opportunities for input and feedback. Ultimately, the client's approval is required for major decisions and milestones.
